Security Inherent in Design of PolySpot Solutions for Mobility or Otherwise

Enterprise mobility has spurred many debates over the last few years. Initially, the debate revolved around whether or not to take on a mobile enterprise. Now that a firm yes has answered that question, other debates have arisen. "IDC: Enterprise Mobility - Only a Matter of When, Not If" discusses the security concerns inherent in the questions of which devices to support, who gets access to what and how to create an infrastructure ready to support these devices securely.

The article states:

IDC feels that enterprises need to look at enterprise mobility from a solutions perspective and not just as a product issue. 'The integration of the application and devices is complex and needs to be understood in detail,' added Reddy. Vulnerabilities, IDC feels, creep in because security has generally been an afterthought and is patched up on top of the solution after it has been designed. Recently, IDC has noticed that people have started including security as an aspect in the initial design of the infrastructure.

Security included in the design is definitely a feature of infrastructure solutions from PolySpot. The company's existing security rules are automatically applied to data within their data management system by comparing the access control lists with the user authentication directories.
