PolySpot Features Rigorous Security Management Functions with Infrastructure Component

With great pay-off comes great risk. This does not have to be the case with utilizing big data, but it could very well happen if the proper technologies are not in place. Infosecurity Magazine has shared some tips and guidance since, "Big Data Can Cause Big Headaches for Infosec Professionals."

Many of the security controls implemented in the industry are dataset dependent and have not necessarily evolved to handle big data. Data encryption or malware scanning for big data can therfore present engineering issues.

According to the article:

Depending on the type of security control you want to implement, it may only be feasible to implement it at the beginning of the process...If you have petabytes of data and you want to encrypt that data…that is a huge undertaking. In some cases, it might not even be feasible. But if you decide at the beginning of the process that you are going to apply encryption, you can build it into the architecture. As the data grows in volume, your encryption can keep pace with it.

PolySpot solutions offer intensive security management functions, guaranteeing full compliance with each company's security rules. While collecting data, the infrastructure component from PolySpot automatically inherits the security models from indexed repositories.
