Enterprise Storage and Business Intelligence Band Together for Success

Flash is making a splash with enterprise storage, at least for one company. The news release from Market Wire, "Leader in Enterprise Analytics Turbo-Charges Performance and Storage Efficiency with Pure Storage FlashArray," discusses this technology as seen in Pure Storage.

They didn't do it on their own. Actually, Mattersight, a leader in cloud-based enterprise analytics, has brought forth the Pure Storage FlashArray FA-320 offering to improve the company's ability to collect and analyze data in near real-time.

Mattersight has hundreds of analytics applications that run on their large consolidated fibre channel SAN array.

In addition to capturing over 70 trillion data attributes on a daily basis, Mattersight also:

[A]pplies over 2 million algorithms, executes over 250 billion computations, and processes over 350 TB of data in order to provide its customers with new and contextually accurate information to understand their customers and improve their operations. Mattersight uses its Business Monitoring Engine to capture, analyze and create business insights from unstructured conversations across all channels, allowing clients to predict customer and employee behavior, increase customer satisfaction and retention, and improve operational efficiency.

This looks like a mutually beneficial partnership where business intelligence is able to take the reins. In order to find new opportunities and cost-savings, that is exactly what business organizations need.
